Kristina Pongrac

Kristina Pongrac (1985, Čakovec) completed her studies of interior design from the Čakovec School of Civil Engineering and graduated in Applied Arts from the Academy of Applied Arts in Rijeka. She is an active member of the HDLU and HDLU of Međimurje, the Senjar Environmental Protection Association [ZEUS] and an external associate in the Kopriva Association (Koprivnica) and ZMAG (Green Network of Anarchist Groups, Vukomerić).
She is continually working in the field of ecology and independent culture through collaboration on various projects (Akademija prirodnog graditeljstva, Eteralni kod,  Društveni centar Čakovec, Nove prakse) and workshops (art and ecology) she contributes to the development of the sensibility of the local environment and its values as well as the development of individual competences and values.
She often approaches critically and interdisciplinarily in hes artistic work and the problems she addresses are ecology and social and individual norms. So far she has participated in several eco-artistic residencies, international workshops in Croatia and abroad, scenic and light design, performances and environment/ambient designs.
She works in the fields of mosaic, graphic arts and various spatial installations and has exhibited in Israel, Egypt, Italy, Serbia and Croatia. In addition to private and institutional collections, her works enrich public spaces - the River Path in Čakovec, the Planet of Dump in Križovac, the Framing and the Undo-Retry-Delete at Sveta Marija.
She lives and works along the Transboundary Biosphere Reserve Mura-Drava-Danube in Donja Dubrava,Croatia.
