INITIATORS OF THE PROJECT
Tihana Karlović
MA Art Education, Printmaking
Tihana Karlovic was born in Rijeka (Croatia), in 1985. She graduated from the Catholic Theological Faculty in Zagreb, Theology, in Rijeka in 2010 and she obtained her master’s degree in 2011 from the Academy of Applied Arts in Rijeka, Art Education major in printmaking. In 2014 she completed the postgraduate study programme Interdisciplinary printmaking at the Academy of Fine Arts Eugeniusz Geppart in Wroclaw, Poland.
Tihana Karlović started the Female Correspondence Project in 2019, together with her colleague artist, Mateja Rusak.
Mateja Rusak
MA Art Education, Printmaking
Mateja Rusak was born in Varaždin (Croatia), in 1989. In 2013 she obtained her Master's Degree in Art Education from Academy of Applied Arts, Rijeka, Croatia. Her fields of interest are printmaking, photography and graphic design. She has been working as a teacher of Fine Art and Design (Printmaking) at the Vocational High School in Varaždin since 2014 . She is a member of Croatian Society of Fine Arts Varaždin.
Along with her colleague Tihana Karlović, Mateja is one of the initiators of the Female Correspondence Project.
